Information regarding the detour around the highway 61 closing for next Sunday ...

Motorists exiting Interstate 90 to travel south on Highway 61 will be detoured beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, April 29th through 5:00 a.m. Monday, May 2nd. Eastbound I-90 motorists who want to travel south on Highway 61 toward La Crescent will need to exit early at Exit 267 (Nodine). The detour route travels south on Winona County Road 12 to Winona County Road 1 south into La Crescent where it connects with Highway 61. Westbound I-90 motorists who want to travel south on Highway 61 towards La Crescent should detour through La Crosse and use the Highway 14/16/61 bridge into La Crescent. To follow this route, exit I-90 at Exit 3, onto Highway 53, then turn right to use the Highway 14/16/61 bridge into La Crescent. This detour will be in place to allow crews to demolish the old I-90 bridge over Highway 61 and the railroad tracks.

Wonderful service this morning. Our Good Shepherd fed us with His Word and Sacrament. It was great to have Hope Lutheran High School's band and choir filling our service with music and also great to see so many of our congregation's children filling the service with additional joyful noises. ...
